PKR v1.0 Update Released

PKR just released their latest version of the beta test software.  This version is called "v1.0" and comes with many new features.  The first of these is a min. spec option.

The min. spec program allows you to run PKR at lower performance than usual.  This is especially helpful for users on laptops or older computers who don't have enough performance to run PKR at normal speeds. 

Min. spec had virtually no visible effects on the graphics, and decreased load times while increasing performance significantly.  We were very pleased with the min. spec option.

Besides min. spec, the normal program was also lightened up.  My computer was not nearly as slow while playing the normal version as it used to be.  This is because PKR decreased the amount of memory used, and increased performance.

PKR also added a friends page and a help page.  The friends page let's you add friends, and tells you if they're on, and where they're playing.  The help page has answers to common questions and info on how to contact customer support.

PKR also added an option to turn off spectacular lighting.  This will let you run at an increased frame rate while having a minimal effect on graphics.

Music has been added to the lobby, and all the buttons now have audio effects to go with them.  Also, you can change how often the dealer speaks...anyone who plays PKR is pretty sick of "New Hand".

The chat box was changed significantly.  You can now filter the box to see only what you want to see (dealer, player, observer chat).  Also, everything is color coded.

One of the last features to be added was that you can hold your mouse over a player's chip stack, and it will tell you how many chips they have.
